About Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet has made watches in Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux since 1875 and is still owned by its founding families. The Royal Oak, designed by Gérald Genta in 1972, created the luxury steel sports watch with its octagonal bezel, eight hexagonal screws and the Grande Tapisserie dial. On a used Royal Oak the sharp edges of the bracelet and case show whether it has been over-polished, and we check them under a loupe.

Audemars Piguet price – what moves a Royal Oak
Our Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15510ST of 2023, 41 mm in steel with full set, is priced at €49,500. That is the current core reference, powered by the automatic calibre 4302, and it sits above its list price because steel Royal Oaks remain hard to buy new.
Three things move the Audemars Piguet price on the pre-owned market. Dial colour matters, with blue the most wanted. Condition matters, above all the state of the bracelet and bezel. And a complete set with box, warranty card and papers adds real value when you sell it later.
Ours is a 2023 example in excellent condition, and a recent warranty card date reassures the next buyer too. If you want to compare it with other steel sports watches, the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Vacheron Constantin Overseas are the usual alternatives, and both are in our stock.

Pre-owned Audemars Piguet – checks on bezel and bracelet
Polishing is the biggest risk on a pre-owned Audemars Piguet. The Royal Oak mixes satin-brushed surfaces with narrow polished bevels on the case, bezel and every bracelet link. A careless polish rounds those bevels off, and an experienced eye spots it at once.
Our watchmaker examines each edge under a loupe and checks the integrated bracelet for stretch and loose links. The eight hexagonal screws on the octagonal bezel should show no tool marks. Gérald Genta designed this layout in 1972 and Audemars Piguet, based in Le Brassus since 1875, has kept it almost unchanged. We also measure the rate on a timegrapher and match the case number with the papers before sale.
Questions about pre-owned Audemars Piguet
How much does a pre-owned Audemars Piguet cost?
Our Audemars Piguet watches are priced at €49,500. The model, the year, the condition and whether the box and papers are included decide the price, and each listing shows all four.
How do I know a used Audemars Piguet is genuine?
Our watchmaker opens every watch, checks the movement, the serial and reference numbers against the papers and measures the rate. Every watch is sold with a 24-month warranty.
Do you buy Audemars Piguet watches?
Yes. Send us photos and the reference, and you get a written offer within 24 hours and payment on the same day.
Is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak worth buying pre-owned?
Yes, if the case and bracelet have not been over-polished and the papers are complete. A pre-owned Royal Oak lets you skip the boutique waiting list. Ours comes inspected by a watchmaker and with a 24-month warranty, and you can view it privately in Helsinki before deciding.
Who designed the Royal Oak?
Gérald Genta designed the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, launched in 1972. Its octagonal bezel with eight hexagonal screws and the Grande Tapisserie dial created the luxury steel sports watch. Genta later designed the Patek Philippe Nautilus too, which is why the two are often compared.
