Goyard bags

The Saint Louis is Goyard's open tote: soft, unstructured, with no zip and two long flat leather handles of graduated thickness. A removable Goyardine pouch with a snap closure is attached by a short leather tether and belongs to the full set.

We have the Saint Louis PM, 34 × 28 × 14 cm, in Black/Tan at €1,200, and the larger Saint Louis GM, 45 × 34 × 19 cm, in Grey at €1,800. Grey is one of Goyard's special colours and costs more than black in the boutique.

The Artois is the structured alternative to the Saint Louis: a firmer base, a zip across the top and two flat leather handles, with leather trim along the top edge and round the sides. It is the Goyard tote to choose if you want it to close.

Our Artois MM measures 37 × 28 × 16 cm and is in Black/Tan with tan trim, at €2,100 with dust bag.

The Saïgon Structuré is a rigid trapezoid with a riveted beech-wood top handle and rods on the front that recall Goyard's trunks. The leather flap tucks in without a clasp, and a removable shoulder strap lets you wear it on the shoulder. The current sizes are Mini and PM.

Our Saïgon PM is black, 28 × 20 × 12 cm, and comes with strap, dust bag and box at €4,200.

Unlike Hermès, a pre-owned Goyard bag in excellent condition usually costs less than a new one in the boutique. Our current prices:

Goyardine is a coated canvas of cotton, hemp and linen. Its chevron pattern of small dots is painted in layers, so in the light it has slight relief and tiny irregularities. A flat, glossy or perfectly uniform print is a warning sign.

We also check the Chevroches calfskin trim and its painted edges, the stitching along the handles and top edge, and the GOYARD / PARIS / MADE IN FRANCE heat stamp, which should be shallow and even. The Saint Louis has no exterior logo at all: the canvas is the branding.
