About Cartier
Cartier made the Santos for the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904, one of the first wristwatches designed for a man, and the Tank followed in 1917. Both are still made in nearly the same shape and remain the most searched Cartier watches in Finland. A used Cartier keeps its value best with the original box and warranty card, and the quick-switch bracelets and straps of recent models make it easy to change the look.

Which Cartier watch – Santos, Tank or Panthère
The right Cartier watch depends on how you dress. The Santos de Cartier WSSA0018 is the daily one: steel, 39.8 mm, automatic calibre 1847 MC and a QuickSwitch system for changing straps. Ours is from 2022 with full set and costs €7,450.
The Tank Louis Cartier W1529756 is the classic. Yellow gold, a 33.7 × 25.5 mm case on a leather strap and a hand-wound calibre 8971 MC, priced at €8,700. The Panthère de Cartier WGPN0009 in yellow gold, €21,900, works as a bracelet and a watch at once and runs on quartz, so it is always ready to wear.
Not sure which shape suits you? The Santos wears best on a casual wrist, the Tank under a shirt cuff and the Panthère as jewellery. Try them on at a viewing in Tallinn before choosing, since a rectangular case sits very differently from a round one.
