Rolex Datejust
The Rolex Datejust was introduced in 1945 as the first wristwatch whose date changed automatically at midnight. The Datejust 41 and 36 are the most versatile Rolex models: a steel or Rolesor case, smooth or fluted bezel, Oyster or Jubilee bracelet and dozens of dial colours. That is why the price of a pre-owned Datejust depends so much on the details. Every Rolex Datejust we sell is inspected and comes with a 24-month warranty.

Pre-owned Rolex Datejust – what we check
Our watchmaker opens every watch and measures its rate on a timegrapher. We match the serial and reference numbers with the papers, check that the dial, hands and bezel are original, and measure the case edges to see whether the watch has been over-polished. You get the result in writing.
Buying a used Rolex Datejust – what to check
- Fluted bezel: the white gold fluted bezel of the 126334 shows dents easily, and polishing blunts the ridges. Check each flute for sharp tops.
- Dial: there are dozens of dial options, so make sure the dial on the watch is listed for the reference on the papers.
- Bracelet: the Jubilee bracelet has many small links and stretches faster than the Oyster. Hold the watch flat and look for sagging.
- Date change: set the time past midnight and check that the date snaps over cleanly, as it has since the first Datejust of 1945.
- Papers and calibre: match the serial with the warranty card and ask for the rate of the calibre 3235.
Rolex Datejust: questions
How much does a pre-owned Rolex Datejust cost?
Our Rolex Datejust watches are priced at €12,500. The price is fixed when you confirm the purchase and includes insured delivery to Finland and Estonia.
Is a pre-owned Rolex Datejust genuine?
Yes. Every watch is inspected by our watchmaker, the serial number is checked against the papers and it comes with a 24-month warranty.
Can I sell my Rolex Datejust?
Yes. Send photos and the reference, and you get a written offer within 24 hours and payment the same day.
How much does a used Rolex Datejust 41 cost?
Our Datejust 41 126334 of 2021 with a fluted white gold bezel and full set costs €12,500. Dial colour, bracelet type, year and the presence of box and papers move the price. Some dial colours are far more wanted than others.
Is the Datejust 36 or 41 the better size?
It depends on your wrist. The Datejust 36 suits wrists under about 17 cm and is the classic size, while the Datejust 41 wears more like a modern sports watch. Try both at a private viewing, since the lug shape makes the 41 wear smaller than its number suggests.
