Rolex Day-Date

The Rolex Day-Date arrived in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full. It is made only in gold and platinum, and the President bracelet was designed for it. The current Day-Date 40 runs on calibre 3255 with a 70-hour power reserve. The platinum 228206 has the ice-blue dial that Rolex keeps for its platinum models. Every Rolex Day-Date we sell is inspected and comes with a 24-month warranty.

Pre-owned Rolex Day-Date – what we check

Our watchmaker opens every watch and measures its rate on a timegrapher. We match the serial and reference numbers with the papers, check that the dial, hands and bezel are original, and measure the case edges to see whether the watch has been over-polished. You get the result in writing.
