Rolex Explorer

The Rolex Explorer was born in 1953, the year of the first ascent of Everest, and the Explorer II followed in 1971 as a watch for cave and polar explorers. Its 24-hour hand and fixed bezel tell day from night even when the sun never sets. The 42 mm 226570, introduced in 2021, runs on calibre 3285 with a 70-hour power reserve and comes with a white or a black dial. Every Rolex Explorer we sell is inspected and comes with a 24-month warranty.

Pre-owned Rolex Explorer – what we check

Our watchmaker opens every watch and measures its rate on a timegrapher. We match the serial and reference numbers with the papers, check that the dial, hands and bezel are original, and measure the case edges to see whether the watch has been over-polished. You get the result in writing.
